Cancellation Policy

Booking Policy At Happy Tails, we’re committed to providing safe, high-quality care for your furry family members. To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, please review our booking policy: 1. Cancellation Policy Clients are required to provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for the cancellation or rescheduling of any appointment, including daycare, overnight boarding, or grooming services. Failure to provide appropriate notice may result in the loss of any deposits paid at the time of booking. 2. Vaccination Requirements All dogs must be fully vaccinated and provide proof of up-to-date vaccinations prior to any services being rendered. Required vaccinations include, but may not be limited to: Rabies, DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus), and Bordetella. This policy is in place to protect the health and safety of all pets and staff. 3.Meet & Greet & Senior Dog Trial Visits All first-time boarders must complete a meet and greet to help us assess compatibility and ensure a positive experience. Senior dogs (12+ years) are also required to attend a 3–4 hour trial visit at least three weeks before their stay, allowing us to evaluate comfort and adaptability. A follow-up trial may be recommended if needed. 4. Food & Comfort Items Owners must provide their dog’s regular food to maintain dietary consistency. We recommend bringing familiar items, like a blanket or toy, to help ease their transition. 5. Grooming Services Happy Tails reserves the right to refuse or terminate grooming services for dogs that are aggressive, severely matted, excessively distressed, or present any risk to staff. All dogs must be comfortable with handling to ensure a safe and positive experience. 6. Drop-Off & Pick-Up Times Pick-Up/Drop-Off: Pick-up and drop-off times must be arranged in advance. Boarding pick-up is strictly by 6:00 PM. Note: A $5 late fee applies every 30 minutes past 6:00 PM, in addition to all service rates. 7. Right to Refuse Service Happy Tails reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if a dog is not suitable or poses a safety risk. Reasons include aggressive behaviour, illness, incomplete vaccinations, or excessive anxiety/behavioural issues. In such cases, we will communicate our concerns with the owner and may recommend alternative care options, including veterinary or behavioural support. Deposits may be forfeited depending on the circumstances.
